Donald T. Sterling, as a prominent attorney, real estate developer, Owner of the Los Angeles Clippers and Founder of the Sterling Charitable Foundation, has provided vital support for AAFA for the past decade as well as many worthy organizations and is, most certainly, a deserving Man of the Year.

John Fielder's environmental leadership, as President of Southern California Edison (SCE) is evidenced by the fact the SCE is the nation's largest purchaser of renewable energy. SCE's leadership in electric transportation, renewable resources and energy efficiency programs, demonstrates a daily commitment to clean air and greenhouse gas reductions.
Dr. Washington Burns, Orchid Award Dr. Washington Burns  Orchid Award
Dr. Washington Burns' dedication and persistence as an historic medical and community activist and the Executive Director of the Prescott-Joseph Center for Community Enhancement, made the Northern California Breathmobile® a reality in 2009, bringing much-needed asthma care to a deeply underserved community.

Dr. Marilyn Li has made invaluable contributions to AAFA as the Director of Quality Assurance for the USC Breathmobile® Program, as well as serving as the Voluntary Advisor of AAFA's pivotal Health Risk Assessment (HRA) system.
Senator Alan Lowenthal, Civic Leadership Award Senator Alan Lowenthal  Civic Leadership Award
Senator Alan Lowenthal, representing California's 27th Senatorial District, provided strong leadership in cleaning the air surrounding the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach through the sponsorship of legislation that reduced diesel emissions and provided financial incentives for purchasing or leasing electric vehicles.
Supervisor Roy Wilson, Lifetime Achievement Award (Posthumously) Supervisor Roy Wilson  Lifetime Achievement Award (Posthumously)
Supervisor Roy Wilson, representing Riverside County's 4th District, was a long time public servant in the Inland Empire. As a member of the South Coast Air Quality Management District Governing Board (AQMD), Dr. Wilson consistently voted for rules and regulations in support of clean air. He was also instrumental in funding the AMQD/BP Breathmobile® program.
Brendan Abrams, Philanthropic Youth Award Brendan Abrams  Philanthropic Youth Award
Brendan Abrams' Tikkun Olam Project hosted the First Annual Easy Breather Racquet Sports Spectacular, raising over $1500 - enough to send more than two kids to Asthma Camp. In Hebrew Tikkun Olam means "Fixing the World" and a Tikkun Olam project is completed upon the simcha of a Bar Mitzvah.
